The elastic pin coupling uses a number of non-metallic pins to be placed in the holes of the flanges of the two half couplings to connect the two shafts. The structure of the pin coupling is simple, and it is convenient to replace the pin. In order to prevent the deformation of the pin, a slight radial displacement and angular displacement are allowed. The structure of the shear pin safety coupling is similar to the elastic pin coupling. When a metal object enters the crusher, it will not be broken due to the strong collision surface with the hammer head, which will cause the motor torque to rise rapidly. When torque is applied, in order to protect important components such as the motor and rotor, the safety pins on the coupling will be cut to avoid component damage. The pin material is 45 gauge steel.
Since the hammer crusher will produce shock and vibration when crushing ore, a rigid coupling must be used to absorb vibration and mitigate the impact.
