First of all, let’s learn about the pulsation dampeners. It is a kind of vessel used to eliminate pulsation. The types of pulsation dampeners are mainly diaphragm type, air bag type and air tank type. The best among them is the air bag type, followed by the diaphragm type, and air tank type.
Secondly, the metering pump is of mechanical diaphragm type, with small flow and low pressure. During the installation process, the air tank type pulsating damper is generally used. In the initial operation, the pipeline pulse elimination effect is very good, but after a period of time, the pipeline pulse is obviously generated, so why? Since the gas in the air damper will gradually dissolve under the pressure of the medium, resulting in less and less compressible gas, the buffering effect will naturally become worse, which is the reason for the pipeline pulse. The first two types of pulsation dampeners are already filled with air before operation, that is to say, there is air in the damper shell during operation.
How to solve this problem? In fact, it is very simple. There is a pressure gauge on the top of the shell of the air tank damper. Screw down the pressure gauge and put in a little air, and the working effect will be achieved again.
